Dopamina, in practice

An AI community manager that starts with your business.

Dopamina's AI community manager helps respond to messages and comments on Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and WhatsApp; what it can do varies by network. It uses confirmed business information and the rules you configure. You can review its activity and decide when your team needs to step in.

For businesses and teams receiving repeated questions about hours, services, or prices who want to keep useful conversations going after they publish.

Get started in Dopamina

How it works

  1. Prepare your business answers

Add hours, services, FAQs, prices, and policies. You can provide documents and web sources. Confirm the information the agent may use rather than expecting it to guess details that are missing.

  2. Set the voice, limits, and oversight

Choose its name and communication style. Configure reply and moderation rules, and decide which situations need a person. Revisit those rules when your business policies change.

  3. Review the conversation

Check replies and agent activity. Your team can handle cases that need extra context or a human decision. Automation does not remove the need for supervision.

Some networks are being enabled gradually, so the options you see in Studio also depend on the access enabled for your account.

  • Instagram

    What you need

A professional Instagram account with the requested messaging and comment permissions.

    Limits to keep in mind

    • Personal Instagram accounts are not supported.
    • Direct messages depend on Instagram's messaging windows and permissions.
  • Facebook

    What you need

A Facebook Page you can manage. Your personal profile is used to authorize access to the Page.

    Limits to keep in mind

    • Personal-profile conversations and Facebook groups are not supported.
    • Messenger replies depend on Facebook's messaging windows and Page permissions.
  • X (Twitter)

    What you need

Your X account. To hear from new customers, allow their message requests in X.

    Limits to keep in mind

    • Comments arrive periodically, about every ten minutes, not instantly.
    • You can only hide replies in conversations your account started.
  • LinkedIn

    What you need

A Company Page, connected with a personal profile that has admin access to it.

    Limits to keep in mind

    • A personal profile alone is not enough; you need a Company Page.
    • Comments can take around 10–50 minutes to arrive.
  • YouTube

    What you need

The Google account that owns or manages your channel, with comment management allowed.

    Limits to keep in mind

    • New comments can take around 5–30 minutes to appear.
    • Comments on unlisted videos may not be detected automatically.
  • TikTok

    What you need

A Personal or Business Account connected with comment access.

    Limits to keep in mind

    • Ads comments and past comments are not imported.
    • Private replies to comments, attachments, and reactions are not supported.
  • WhatsApp

    What you need

The business WhatsApp number assigned to your workspace, once its setup and activation are complete.

    Limits to keep in mind

    • This channel has no public posts or comments to reply to or moderate.
    • Replies depend on WhatsApp's messaging window; messages outside it require an approved template.

Connecting an account doesn't turn on automatic replies. Complete your business information and rules, then activate each channel. Availability depends on each network's permissions and messaging windows.

What to know

  • The AI community manager works on Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok and WhatsApp. Actions differ by network: WhatsApp has no public comments, and Dopamina does not support direct-message replies on LinkedIn, YouTube or TikTok.
  • The inbox brings together Instagram, Facebook/Messenger, and WhatsApp conversations. Available capabilities depend on the channel and connected account.
  • Keep business information and rules up to date. An automated answer does not replace a decision by your team.

Questions about this workflow

Which networks support the AI community manager?

Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and WhatsApp. Available actions differ by network: it replies to comments everywhere except WhatsApp, and to direct messages on Instagram, Facebook, X, and WhatsApp. They also depend on the connected account.

Can I choose how it responds?

Yes. You can configure its communication style, business information, reply and moderation rules, and the cases where your team should step in.

Is this the same as Ergo on WhatsApp?

No. Ergo is the assistant you message on WhatsApp to request work and route it to Dopamina's tools. The community manager handles conversations with your customers on Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and your business WhatsApp number.
